Prof. Hyeun Bum Kim is a veterinarian who earned a MS and PhD degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota, USA,. He completed postdoctoral training at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine, Massachusetts, USA, and currently serves as a professor in the Department of Animal Biotechnology at Dankook University in South Korea. Dr. Kim has broad research interests in animal health and diseases. His research involves pathogens, as well as synbiotics, to enhance the growth performance and health of livestock. He utilizes NGS (next-generation sequencing) to explore the microbiome and metagenome of human samples and those related to other animal models, such as swine, poultry, bovine, canine, and non-human primates.
