Conference Introduction:
In pig farms, viruses such as Infectious Gastroenteritis Virus (TGEV), Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV), Rotavirus, etc. often wreak havoc on pig herds with high infectivity and pathogenicity, causing severe diarrhea, dehydration, and even mass death of piglets, bringing heavy damage to pig farms; At the bacterial level, yellow and white dysentery in piglets caused by Escherichia coli, necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium difficile, sepsis and enteritis induced by Salmonella continue to erode the health and growth performance of pigs; In terms of parasites, coccidiosis, roundworms, and other parasites hide in pigs, silently grabbing nutrients and damaging intestinal mucosa; Problems such as stomach ulcers and constipation caused by nutritional imbalance are also stumbling blocks on the road to improving the quality and efficiency of pig farming.
The first International Symposium on Porcine Digestive Diseases (IPDDS) was successfully held on April 9-11, 2024 at the headquarters of Muyuan Group in Nanyang, China. The conference focuses on gastroenteritis and conducts academic exchanges and discussions on viral and bacterial diseases that affect pig digestive health and production performance. The seminar invited 27 experts and scholars from over 10 countries to share 36 high-quality conference reports. Representatives and guests from pig production and service enterprises, animal protection companies, and research institutions had in-depth exchanges. The exhibition area of the conference also attracted companies related to vaccines, veterinary drugs, equipment, and pig farming services related to pig digestive diseases to participate. And this conference aims to gather wisdom and scientific research achievements from all parties, dissect various causes, and present precise prevention, control, and treatment "good prescriptions".
The 2025IPDDS focuses on the digestive tract diseases of pigs that are of concern to pig farming enterprises, with the theme of "viruses, bacteria, parasites, and nutritional diseases - all in one go". It closely integrates the latest research progress, production practices, and applications in disease prevention and control at home and abroad, and provides scientific solutions for enterprises.
The conference extensively invites and organizes well-known domestic and foreign experts and enterprises to participate, aiming to help the pig farming industry improve employee skills and production efficiency in the low profit market. At the same time, strengthen communication, exchange, and cooperation between industries to build a high-quality, high-level, and efficient platform for the research and prevention of pig digestive diseases.
