Fan Hongjie
PhD, Chief Professor of the Zhongshan Scholar Program at Nanjing Agricultural University, and Leader of Preventive Veterinary Medicine

Fan Hongjie, Ph.D., is the chief professor of the Zhongshan Scholars Program of Nanjing Agricultural University, and the leader of the preventive veterinary medicine research. He is also a member of the National Animal Epidemic Prevention Expert Committee and a member of the 7th New Veterinary Drug Review Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He was the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and the director of the Teacher Development and Teaching Evaluation Center of NAU. He has presided over more than 30 national, ministerial and provincial projects, mainly involving research on the pathogenesis and immune prevention of swine streptococcal disease, porcine proliferative enteritis, porcine epidemic diarrhea, etc. He has published more than 150 papers in mBio, PLOS Pathogen, Cellular Microbiology and other journals, and won one second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He has been selected as a New Century Outstanding Talent of the Ministry of Education, a Distinguished Professor of Jiangsu, and an Outstanding Talent of National Agricultural Research.
